HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH
HRW ran their #ReparationsNow campaign to push H.R.40, a bill that would establish a federal commission to study the impacts of slavery and propose recommendations on reparations. Stink Studios teamed up with HRW to direct our messaging to President Biden by planting the Pan-African flag on the White House lawn.
Alongside the 7,500 square foot garden were statement banners containing explicit demands while exposing the administration on their broken promises. The garden was built in a day, largely by our team and local volunteers in partnership with BLK FLWR MRKT, who distributed nearly 2,000 plants to the local D.C. community following the non-traditional art activism installation.
